Programs for Children
Families All Read (F*A*R)
Kids' College of Nursery Rhymes
Although Hoke County Public Library’s Families All Read program has wrapped up for the year, families who took part in the program are sure to feel its effect for some time to come.
Families All Read, or F.A.R., consisted of 24 Kids’ College of Nursery Rhymes family reading nights and six Parent University workshops. Together, the free events encouraged families to read together more often by presenting storytelling modeling, professional instruction and free book distribution.
Nearly eighty families and caregivers of children age 5 and under participated in the Smart Start-funded program during the 2007-2008 grant year. About a third of the families reported significantly increasing the time they spend reading with their children.

Programs for Teens

Anime Bonanze
The 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm
For kids, teens & adults who love anime!
Refreshments will be served.
Dungeons & Dragons
The 2nd& 4th Sundays of each month, from 2:00 to 10:00 pm
Programs for Adults
Basic Computer Class – Thursdays at 10:00 am.
Seating is limited ; call to preregister.
